The SafeTeam Prevention
Program creates an early warning communication system for recognizing,
preventing, and defusing potentially violent or harmful situations
in schools. Information from a diverse pool of students, parents,
and teachers is discussed with the SafeTeam coordinator, who is professionally trained to evaluate
at risk students.

Implementing SafeTeam in your school requires the unified
commitment of parents, administrators, teachers, and counselors.
Most schools do not have a staff member who concentrates solely
on student emotional needs. The Mental Health Association in
Tulsa believes that a full-time on-site professional coordinator
is a crucial element in safeguarding schools. The Association
offers an implementation manual and acts as a school/community
advocate to help educate the community and obtain financial and
emotional support for your SafeTeam program.
